Full Description
City Theatrical Standard Top Hats serve two functions in entertainment lighting: To control light spill or to reduce the viewing angle to the lens.
Sometimes poor fixture optics or poorly maintained lenses can cause light to be directed into the audience or onto scenery, and top hats can help control that. It is also often objectionable to the audience or camera to see the bright source of the light and top hats can shield the bright source from view. All of our black top hats and half top hats are flocked on the interior to reduce light reflection.
Short versions have a 3″ Snoot.

Source 4 Donut
Donuts are used in the colour frame slot of a profile spotlight to sharpen gobo projections. Similar to the way the human eye sharpens focus when it squints, a donut reduces the aperture and sharpens the output of the fixture. There is some reduction in brightness to achieve this increase in sharpness but this is often a trade off that designers are willing to make.

City Theatrical Beam Bender
City Theatrical Beam Benders  allow the light output of a lighting fixture to be located at a right angle to the fixture. A fixture can point horizontally and shoot its light straight down, or can point straight down and output its light horizontally. Designers have many uses for the Beam Bender, including shooting around obstructions, working with low grids in which a fixture pointing straight down would be an obstruction, and on dance sidelight booms to light the maximum of dancers’ legs without lighting the floor.

Color Extender - Source 4 Standard
Incandescent theatrical lights are hot and gel is expensive to replace. City Theatrical Colour Extenders move the gel frame away from the focal plane of the lighting fixture, extending gel life and saving you time and money. Note: We do not recommend the use of 5” long accessories in 50° lens tubes. Loss of light will occur. We do not recommend the use of any accessory in 70° or 90° lens tubes. Extreme loss of light will occur.
