Sparks again support Lighting Designer Bruno Poet and production electrician Jack Williams and his team as they bring a classic back to the West End – providing the lighting equipment for The Cherry Orchard’s run at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

“Without the cherry orchard, life has no meaning to me”
‘Kristin Scott Thomas is hypnotic’ (The Telegraph) in her return to the West End alongside an ‘absolutely storming career best from Stephen Mangan’ (Time Out) who perform in a gripping new production of The Cherry Orchard, Anton Chekhov’s poignant and piercing tragicomedy about a family on the brink of irreversible change.
In Olivier Award Winner ‘Conor McPherson’s evocative new translation’ (London Theatre) you see ‘glorious performances across the board’ (The Telegraph) with an ensemble who unite under Olivier and Tony Award nominated ‘Ian Rickson’s elegantly directed production’ (The Guardian). Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions (Oedipus, Leopoldstadt, Jerusalem) Chekhov’s final masterpiece captures a world in delicate, inevitable transition – and remains as timeless and resonant as ever.
When Lyubov Ranevskaya (Kristin Scott Thomas) returns to her childhood estate after years abroad, she finds her family home and beloved cherry orchard under threat.
As old loyalties falter and new ambitions rise, a world of privilege begins to crumble. Can Lyubov embrace the future, or will the pull of memory prove impossible to escape?
‘Don’t miss ‘one of the greatest casts on any current London stage’ (WhatsOnStage). Now playing at the Harold Pinter Theatre for a Strictly limited season until 9 January 2027.
