City Theatrical Egg Crate Louvers serve a similar function to a Top Hat, but do so in only 1/2″ of depth. Egg Crate Louvers use a 45° cut-off obtained by using cells that are 1/2″ x 1/2″, by 1/2″ deep. Egg Crate Louvers give a sleek appearance to the lighting fixture while providing good beam control.

City Theatrical Concentric Rings are often the designer’s first choice for beam control when space is at a premium, such as on moving lights hung in a tight rig. Concentric Rings deliver 45° cut off for full control of stray beams and spill, like a full Top Hat, but they do it in a shorter device.

City Theatrical Concentric Rings also provide a “Svoboda-like” style when used on lighting fixtures that are in view of the audience, and present a deeply theatrical feel.

City Theatrical Standard Top Hats serve two functions in entertainment lighting: To control light spill or to reduce the viewing angle to the lens.
